Abstract
Aspects relate to a wireless communication system for wireless communication. The wireless communication system may include a Radio Access Network (RAN) entity. The RAN entity may allocate a plurality of resource block groups (RBGs) for at least one channel within a slot. The slot may comprise a plurality of symbols. The plurality of RBGs may comprise a plurality of resource block (RB) segments that spans the plurality of symbols. The RAN entity may generate an RB allocation message that indicates, on a per symbol basis in the slot, at least one RB segment of the plurality of RB segments and transmit the RB allocation message.
Claims20
A Radio Access Network (RAN) entity, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors individually or collectively configured to cause the RAN entity to:
- allocate a plurality of resource block groups (RBGs) for at least one channel within a slot, wherein
- the slot comprises a plurality of symbols, and
- the plurality of RBGs comprises a plurality of resource block (RB) segments spanning the plurality of symbols;
- generate an RB allocation message that indicates, on a per symbol basis in the slot, at least one RB segment of the plurality of RB segments;
- and
- transmit the RB allocation message.
A Radio Access Network (RAN) entity, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors are individually or collectively configured to cause the RAN entity to:
- receive, for at least one channel in a slot, a resource block (RB) allocation message that indicates, on a per symbol basis in the slot, at least one RB segment of a plurality of RB segments allocated to the at least one channel, wherein
- the slot comprises a plurality of symbols, and
- the plurality of RB segments spans the plurality of symbols;
- generate one or more control plane (C-plane) messages for the at least one channel based on the RB allocation message;
- and
- transmit the one or more C-plane messages.
A resource block (RB) allocation method, comprising:
- in a Radio Access Network (RAN) entity:
- allocating a plurality of resource block groups (RBGs) for at least one channel within a slot, wherein
- the slot comprises a plurality of symbols, and
- the plurality of RBGs comprises a plurality of RB segments spanning the plurality of symbols;
- generating an RB allocation message that indicates, on a per symbol basis in the slot, at least one RB segment of the plurality of RB segments;
- and
- transmitting the RB allocation message.
