Method and apparatus for reference signal determination for radio link quality evaluation in wireless communications

A base station, comprising:

• a transmitter configured to transmit a reference information block and a first information block, wherein:
• the reference information block configures a first control resource set (CORESET) pool on a first bandwidth part (BWP), and the first CORESET pool comprises at least one CORESET of a first CORESET group,
• a first reference signal (RS) resource set for evaluating a radio link quality of the first BWP depends on a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state of the first CORESET group,
• the first information block indicates a first time-frequency resource set comprising at least one subcarrier in the first BWP, and
• the first CORESET group at least depends on a relationship between an air interface resource occupied by a monitored physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate in a CORESET of the first CORESET pool and the first time-frequency resource set.

A method for a user equipment, UE comprising:

• receiving a reference information block and a first information block, wherein:
• the reference information block configures a first control resource set (CORESET) pool on a first bandwidth part (BWP) and the first CORESET pool comprises at least one CORESET of a first CORESET group,
• a first reference signal (RS) resource set for evaluating a radio link quality of the first BWP depends on a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state of the first CORESET group,
• the first information block indicates a first time-frequency resource set comprising at least one subcarrier in the first BWP, and
• the first CORESET group at least depends on a relationship between an air interface resource occupied by a monitored physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate in a CORESET of the first CORESET pool and the first time-frequency resource set.
