Dynamic broadcast isochronous group configuration modification based on media state

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• media control circuitry configured to determine an audio stream is to enter a pause state;
• and
• broadcast circuitry configured to:
• broadcast one or more packets of the audio stream as a series of broadcast events defined by first broadcast isochronous group (BIG) configuration data;
• in response to the audio stream entering the pause state, update the first BIG configuration data based on one or more predetermined values for BIG configuration parameters associated with the pause state to produce second BIG configuration data;
• broadcast an update packet representing the second BIG configuration data;
• and
• broadcast one or more null data units in a broadcast event based on the second BIG configuration data.

A method, comprising:

• broadcasting, by a user equipment (UE), one or more packets of an audio stream as a series of broadcast events defined by first broadcast isochronous group (BIG) configuration data;
• in response to the audio stream entering a pause state, updating the first BIG configuration data based on one or more predetermined values for BIG configuration parameters associated with the pause state to produce second BIG configuration data;
• and
• broadcasting, by the UE, one or more null data units in a broadcast event based on the second BIG configuration data.
