Abstract
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatuses, systems, and methods for performance monitoring for channel state information (CSI) prediction. The present application further relates to devices and components including apparatuses, systems, and methods for beam alignment in continuous space.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- processing configuration information that indicates a first channel state information (CSI)—reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set that includes a prediction resource, and a second CSI-RS resource set that includes a monitoring resource;
- obtaining, via a CSI prediction model, a predicted CSI based on the prediction resource, wherein the predicted CSI is for a prediction window;
- obtaining a CSI measurement based on the monitoring resource, wherein the monitoring resource is within the prediction window;
- and
- generating, for transmission to a network, a message based on the predicted CSI and the CSI measurement.

A method comprising:
- generating, for transmission to a user equipment (UE), configuration information that indicates:
- a first channel state information (CSI)-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set that includes a prediction resource based on which the UE is to obtain a predicted CSI using a CSI prediction model;
- and
- a second CSI-RS resource set that includes a monitoring resource based on which the UE is to obtain a CSI measurement for monitoring performance of the CSI prediction model;
- receiving, from the UE, a message based on the predicted CSI and the CSI measurement;
- determining an action to take based on the message;
- and
- generating, for transmission to the UE, an indication of the action.

An apparatus comprising:
- processing circuitry to:
- process configuration information to identify a performance threshold;
- obtain, via a channel state information (CSI) prediction model, a predicted CSI for a prediction window;
- obtain a CSI measurement associated with the prediction window;
- determine a performance metric based on the predicted CSI and the CSI measurement;
- identify that the performance metric exceeds the performance threshold;
- and
- generate, for transmission to a network, a message to indicate that the performance metric exceeds the performance threshold;
- and
- interface circuitry coupled to the processing circuitry to enable communication.
