Detecting and transmitting events associated with a subject

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing thereon instructions that, as a result of being executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• receiving sensor data collected by one or more sensors associated with a sender device;
• determining an occurrence of an event associated with a subject of the sender device, wherein the event is determined based on the sensor data, and wherein the event is associated with a first event type;
• identifying an event-suppression configuration associated with a receiver device, wherein the event-suppression configuration identifies a set of event types;
• applying the event-suppression configuration to the event associated with the subject, wherein applying the event-suppression configuration includes determining whether the set of event types includes the first event type;
• determining that the set of event types includes the first event type;
• and
• suppressing transmission of the event to the receiver device.

A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium storing thereon executable instructions that, as a result of being executed by one or more processors of a computer system, cause the computer system to perform operations comprising:

• receiving sensor data collected by one or more sensors associated with a sender device;
• determining an occurrence of an event associated with a subject of the sender device, wherein the event is determined based on the sensor data, and wherein the event is associated with a first event type;
• identifying an event-suppression configuration associated with a receiver device, wherein the event-suppression configuration identifies a set of event types;
• applying the event-suppression configuration to the event associated with the subject, wherein applying the event-suppression configuration includes determining whether the set of event types includes the first event type;
• determining that the set of event types includes the first event type;
• and
• suppressing transmission of the event to the receiver device.
