There is provided an apparatus for overhead conductor replacement including a housing and a necklace. The necklace is deployed in use to encapsulate multiple conductors. In use, the housing is used to string out each apparatus across the conductor span between two towers in a similar known manner to the existing art. With the necklace encapsulating the conductors, a header can be attached to join and pull through the conductor or the multiple conductors in a single operation. Whilst being pulled through the apparatuses, the conductors are supported by the necklace. If necessary, the necklace aids the recovery of broken conductors. In the broadest form there is therefore provided a necklace comprising a cable and a plurality of bearings and being attached to the housing in a loop between a first and a second attachment point to the housing. At least one of the first and second attachment points is releasable such that the necklace can be attached and detached from the housing to encapsulate the conductors.
An OHL apparatus comprising a housing and a necklace, the housing having a first attachment point and a second attachment point and wherein the necklace is restrained in a loop between the first and second attachment points;
