Abstract
A secondary battery including an electrode assembly having an electrode tab bundle on a side; an electrode lead welded to the electrode tab bundle at a welding part; and an adhesive layer positioned between the electrode tab bundle and the electrode lead and positioned under a front edge of the electrode lead is provided. The secondary battery can inhibit degradation of secondary battery performance by preventing the electrode tab bundle from being torn.

A secondary battery, comprising:
- an electrode assembly including an electrode tab bundle on a side;
- an electrode lead welded to the electrode tab bundle at a welding part;
- and
- an adhesive layer positioned between the electrode tab bundle and the electrode lead and positioned under an edge of the electrode lead.

A manufacturing method of a secondary battery, comprising:
- providing an electrode assembly including an electrode tab bundle on a side;
- applying an adhesive layer to the electrode tab bundle;
- and
- welding the electrode tab bundle with an electrode lead,
- wherein applying the adhesive layer is performed prior to welding, and
- wherein the adhesive layer is applied such that it will be positioned under a front edge of the electrode lead welded in the third step.
