Cell connector and method for producing a cell connector

A cell contacting system for an electrochemical device that comprises a plurality of electrochemical cells, said cell contacting system comprising at least one cell connector for electrically conductively connecting at least one first cell terminal of a first electrochemical cell and at least one second cell terminal of a second electrochemical cell, said cell connector comprising

• at least one first contact region for electrically conductively connecting the cell connector to the at least one first cell terminal,
• at least one second contact region for electrically conductively connecting the cell connector to the at least one second cell terminal and
• at least one of i) at least one elastically deformable connection region and ii) at least one plastically deformable connection region, which is arranged in the current path between the at least one first contact region and the at least one second contact region, wherein the connection region is made at least partially of a work hardened metallic material.

An electrochemical device, which comprises a plurality of electrochemical cells and a cell contacting system for an electrochemical device that comprises a plurality of electrochemical cells, said cell contacting system comprising at least one cell connector for electrically conductively connecting at least one first cell terminal of a first electrochemical cell and at least one second cell terminal of a second electrochemical cell, said cell connector comprising

• at least one first contact region for electrically conductively connecting the cell connector to the at least one first cell terminal,
• at least one second contact region for electrically conductively connecting the cell connector to the at least one second cell terminal and at least one of i) at least one elastically deformable connection region and ii) at least one plastically deformable connection region, which is arranged in the current path between the at least one first contact region and the at least one second contact region, wherein the connection region is made at least partially of a work hardened metallic material.
