Abstract
A spacer for positioning between two adjacent battery cells of a battery cell stack includes a compressible pad and a support element supporting the compressible pad. The compressible pad and the support element are configured to be at least partly compressed between adjacent battery cells of the battery cell stack.

A spacer for positioning between two adjacent battery cells of a battery cell stack, the spacer comprising:
- a compressible pad;
- and
- a support element supporting the compressible pad,
