Abstract

The invention relates to a device for filtering ambient air, comprising: a reactor designed to electrochemically react a reactant with an oxidising agent, wherein at least one fluid can be generated as a product by the electrochemical reaction; a filter system with a first fluid reservoir; wherein a first line connection is formed between the reactor and the first fluid reservoir, via which the generated fluid can flow from the reactor to the first fluid reservoir; wherein the filter system is design to bring ambient air into contact with the generated fluid in the fluid reservoir so that impurities can be filtered out of the ambient air; wherein a second connecting line is formed between the filter system and the reactor, via which the filtered ambient air of the filter system can be supplied to the reactor as an oxidising agent for the electrochemical reaction.
