Abstract
A method of scheduling ions for analysis by a mass analyser over a mass to charge ratio (m/z) range of interest is provided. The method comprises obtaining predicted intensities and associated m/z for the ions across the mass range of interest. The method also comprises inputting ions to an ion scheduling device, outputting the ions from the ion scheduling device to the mass analyser according to the m/z or ion mobility of the ions, and selectively attenuating the ions based on the predicted intensities and associated m/z of the ions.
