AI-Assisted Vehicle Communication and Safety System for Tailgating Detection

A system for detecting and mitigating tailgating behavior in vehicle environment, the system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory communicatively coupled with the processor, wherein the memory stores processor-executable instructions, which on execution cause the processor to:
• receive real-time data from at least one sensor integrated into a first vehicle, wherein the real-time data comprises information related to rear surroundings of the first vehicle;
• analyze the real-time data using Artificial Intelligence (AI) models stored in the memory, to detect patterns and behaviors of a trailing vehicle;
• identify tailgating behavior based on the detected actions of the trailing vehicle;
• generate an alert to a user of the first vehicle based on the validation of the accuracy of the identified tailgating behavior;
• and
• enable an autonomous control system integrated with the first vehicle to adjust speed of the first vehicle based on the alert, wherein the speed of the vehicle is adjusted to minimize tailgating by the trailing vehicle.
