An image processing apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the image processing apparatus to:
• capture an eyeball image of a user;
• determine whether a captured first eyeball image satisfies a first condition;
• determine whether a captured second eyeball image satisfies a second condition;
• in a case where a user operation for registering the eyeball image is acquired, present first presentation information to the user in a case where the first condition is satisfied, and present second presentation information to the user in a case where the second condition is satisfied;
• in a case where it is determined that the first eyeball image satisfies the first condition, perform control to register at least one of the first eyeball image or an image feature that can be acquired from the first eyeball image;
• and
• in a case where it is determined that the second eyeball image satisfies the second condition, perform control to register at least one of the second eyeball image or an image feature that can be acquired from the second eyeball image.
