Abstract
Embodiments are in the field of mobile applications and wireless processing, especially of commercial transactions, and more specifically for enhancing the user experience in restaurants, even while enhancing the service delivery model efficiency of restaurants. Embodiments include a computer accessible medium for processing commercial transactions, to perform operations that comprise identifying wireless devices and determining their respective locations in a vendor service area, sending an interactive order menu to the identified wireless devices, receiving and displaying order data from the wireless devices, processing the received order data, and accepting a payment for a completed order.
Claims20
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions for processing a commercial transaction that, when executed by at least one processor of a server system, configure the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, from a wireless device, identifier data corresponding to a vendor;
- determining, based on the identifier data, a vendor account associated with the vendor;
- creating, in a memory of the server system, a data structure corresponding to a transaction associated with the vendor account;
- transmitting, to the wireless device, interface data associated with the transaction;
- receiving, from the wireless device, user interaction data associated with the interface data;
- updating the data structure based on the user interaction data;
- receiving, from the wireless device, payment data associated with the transaction;
- processing the payment data to complete the transaction;
- updating the data structure based on a status of the transaction;
- and
- transmitting the status of the transaction to the wireless device.
A method performed by an integrated system comprising hardware and software modules for facilitating location-based order management, the method comprising:
- determining, by a location-determination sensor of a user wireless device, positional data corresponding to a physical position of a user within a vendor service area;
- transmitting, by the user wireless device through a network interface, said positional data to a vendor node;
- generating, by the vendor node comprising a processor and a dynamic menu generation module, an interactive order menu specific to the user position;
- displaying, on the user wireless device, the interactive order menu and receiving a user selection corresponding to one or more menu items;
- processing, by a transaction module, order confirmation, and payment initiation via an integrated payment gateway;
- synchronizing, by a synchronization engine, real-time data consistency between the user device and the vendor node;
- and
- locally caching menu data on the user device and synchronizing delta updates upon detecting a change in positional data,
- wherein above steps produce a technical effect of reducing data latency, optimizing network load, and improving transaction throughput.
A system configured to perform claimed methods, the system comprising:
- a user wireless device including the location-determination sensor for generating positional data corresponding to a physical position of a user within a vendor service area;
- a vendor node including a processor, memory, and a dynamic menu generation module configured to generate an interactive order menu specific to the user position;
- a network interface configured to transmit and receive positional, order, and payment data between the user wireless device and the vendor node;
- a transaction module configured to process order confirmation and payment initiation via an integrated payment gateway;
- a synchronization engine configured to maintain real-time data consistency between the user device and the vendor node;
- and
- wherein execution of instructions by the processor, causes the system to achieve technical effect of reduced latency, optimized network load, and improved transaction throughput.
