Knowledge graph pattern detection and application

A computer-implemented method performed by a computer system comprising a memory and at least one hardware processor, the computer-implemented method comprising:

• accessing a knowledge graph data structure stored in a data store;
• preprocessing the knowledge graph data structure to generate a modified knowledge graph data structure by replacing instance nodes with class nodes;
• automatically detecting a pattern through processing of the modified knowledge graph data structure comprising:
• initiating a path from a starting class node in the modified knowledge graph data structure, and
• recursively extending the path, until a stopping condition is met, with a property-class combination from a current class node in the path having an occurrence frequency that exceeds an occurrence threshold;
• and
• adjusting the knowledge graph data structure stored in the data store based on the pattern.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

• accessing a knowledge graph data structure stored in a data store;
• preprocessing the knowledge graph data structure to generate a modified knowledge graph data structure by replacing instance nodes with class nodes;
• automatically detecting a pattern through processing of the modified knowledge graph data structure comprising:
• initiating a path from a starting class node in the modified knowledge graph data structure, and
• recursively extending the path, until a stopping condition is met, with a property-class combination from a current class node in the path having an occurrence frequency that exceeds an occurrence threshold;
• and
• adjusting the knowledge graph data structure stored in the data store based on the pattern.
