Obtaining recommended data sources from user query data

A non-transitory machine-readable medium having instructions stored therein, which when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations for providing desired computer implemented services using data stored in data sources of a distributed system, the operations comprising:

• obtaining a data request from a user, the data request being serviceable using a portion of the data stored in the data sources;
• based on the data request:
• obtaining, using a request template corresponding to the data request and an updated user query data profile for the user, recommended data sources for the request template, wherein
• the updated user query data profile being based on temporal data access patterns by a user and relative levels of importance of the data sources indicated by the temporal data access patterns, and
• for each recommended data source, recommended data source qualifications are generated including a quality score and a relevance score for the corresponding recommended data source;
• obtaining, using the request template, the recommended data source qualifications, and the recommended data sources, an information request that is compatible with information extraction frameworks for the data sources, where a given recommended data source is accessed only when the corresponding quality score satisfies a quality threshold and corresponding relevance score satisfy a relevance threshold;
• obtaining, using the information request, the portion of the data;
• and
• using the portion of the data to facilitate provisioning of at least the portion of the desired computer implemented services.

A data processing system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor to store instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations providing desired computer implemented services using data stored in data sources of a distributed system, the operations comprising:
• obtaining a data request from a user, the data request being serviceable using a portion of the data stored in the data sources;
• based on the data request:
• obtaining, using a request template corresponding to the data request and an updated user query data profile for the user, recommended data sources for the request template, wherein
• the updated user query data profile being based on temporal data access patterns by a user and relative levels of importance of the data sources indicated by the temporal data access patterns, and
• for each recommended data source, recommended data source qualifications are generated including a quality score and a relevance score for the corresponding recommended data source;
• obtaining, using the request template, the recommended data source qualifications, and the recommended data sources, an information request that is compatible with information extraction frameworks for the data sources, where a given recommended data source is accessed only when the corresponding quality score satisfies a quality threshold and corresponding relevance score satisfy a relevance threshold;
• obtaining, using the information request, the portion of the data;
• and
• using the portion of the data to facilitate provisioning of at least the portion of the desired computer implemented services.
