Data migration using an orchestrator generated data migration transcript and rule vouchers

A non-transitory machine-readable medium having instructions stored therein, which when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations for migrating data between provider systems, the operations comprising:

• generating, by a first migration orchestrator and for a migration of the data between a source provider system and a destination provider system, a data migration transcript comprising one or more migration phases and requirements associated with each of the one or more migration phases, the data migration transcript including instructions for instantiation of a second migration orchestrator as part of a computing environment of a recipient of the data migration transcript;
• generating, by the first migration orchestrator, a ruleset voucher comprising a migration ruleset, the migration ruleset being based on a process associated the one or more migration phases and the requirements associated with each of the one or more migration phases of the data migration transcript;
• providing, by the first migration orchestrator and to at least one of the source provider system or the destination provider system, the ruleset voucher with instructions for a recipient of the ruleset voucher to compare migration-related processes performed by the recipient with the migration ruleset included in the ruleset voucher;
• and
• obtaining, by the first migration orchestrator, an evaluation result from the recipient of the ruleset voucher;
• and
• until alignment with the migration ruleset is achieved, using, by the first migration orchestrator, the evaluation result to ensure compliance of the migration of the data with the data migration transcript by causing the recipient to enforce one or more security protocols to protect an integrity of the recipient based on a configuration of the second migration orchestrator.

A data processing system, the data processing system comprising:

• a central processing unit (CPU);
• and
• a memory coupled to the CPU to store instructions, which when executed by the CPU, cause the CPU to perform operations for migrating data between provider systems, the operations comprising:
• generating, by a first migration orchestrator and for a migration of the data between a source provider system and a destination provider system, a data migration transcript comprising one or more migration phases and requirements associated with each of the one or more migration phases, the data migration transcript including instructions for instantiation of a second migration orchestrator as part of a computing environment of a recipient of the data migration transcript;
• generating, by the first migration orchestrator, a ruleset voucher comprising a migration ruleset, the migration ruleset being based on a process associated the one or more migration phases and the requirements associated with each of the one or more migration phases of the data migration transcript;
• providing, by the first migration orchestrator and to at least one of the source provider system or the destination provider system, the ruleset voucher with instructions for a recipient of the ruleset voucher to compare migration-related processes performed by the recipient with the migration ruleset included in the ruleset voucher;
• and
• obtaining, by the first migration orchestrator, an evaluation result from the recipient of the ruleset voucher;
• and
• until alignment with the migration ruleset is achieved, using, by the first migration orchestrator, the evaluation result to ensure compliance of the migration of the data with the data migration transcript by causing the recipient to enforce one or more security protocols to protect an integrity of the recipient based on a configuration of the second migration orchestrator.
