Minimized downtime operations (mdo) for sap software solutions

A non-transitory computer readably medium comprising one or more sequences of instructions, which, when executed by a processor, causes a server system to perform operations comprising:

• identifying an active computing environment comprising one or more files, the active computing environment selected from a group comprising an SAP HANA instance, an SAP application server instance, or an SAP central service instance;
• generating a target computing environment corresponding to the active computing environment, the target computing environment being substantially similar to the active computing environment:
• synchronizing files from the active computing environment to the target computing environment;
• and
• routing users from the active computing environment to the target computing environment following synchronization of the files from the active computing environment to the target computing environment with minimal downtime.

A system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory comprising programming instruction stored thereon, which, when executed by the processor, causes the system to perform operations comprising:
• identifying an active computing environment comprising one or more files, the active computing environment selected from a group comprising an SAP HANA instance, an SAP application server instance, or an SAP central service instance;
• generating a target computing environment corresponding to the active computing environment, the target computing environment being substantially similar to the active computing environment;
• synchronizing files from the active computing environment to the target computing environment;
• and
• routing users from the active computing environment to the target computing environment following synchronization of the files from the active computing environment to the target computing environment with minimal downtime.
