Abstract
An aspect provides participant selection during surgical streaming of video and/or audio between an operating room and one or more external participants outside of the operating room. User interfaces and controls within the operating room can vary from external user interfaces and controls. A user within an operating room can invite participants and control whether an internal or external video stream is depicted in a main portion of a display. Each user can make individualized selections of content to be displayed on the main portion of each user display.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- displaying a first set of one or more video streams that are internal to an operating room on a first panel of an operating room display;
- displaying a second set of one or more video streams that are external to the operating room on a second panel of the operating room display;
- detecting a selection of one of the one or more video streams of the second set as a selected video stream;
- and
- removing a current video stream displayed in a main portion of the operating room display as a removed video stream based on detecting the selection, and moving the selected video stream from the second panel to the main portion of the operating room display based on detecting the selection.
The method of any preceding claim, further comprising:
- moving the removed video stream to the second panel based on determining that the removed video stream is associated with the second set of one or more video streams that are internal to the operating room.
The method of any preceding claim, further comprising.
- detecting a next selection of one of the one or more video streams that are internal to the operating room as the selected video stream;
- and
- moving the selected video stream from the first panel to the main portion of the operating room display based on detecting the next selection.
The method of any preceding claim, further comprising:
- opening the second panel based on detecting a first user selection to view one or more participants through a user interface.
The method of any preceding claim, wherein the second panel comprises a mute all control that inhibits an audio feed of the one or more participants of the second panel through the user interface.
The method of any preceding claim, wherein the selection of one of the one or more video streams of the second set comprises detecting a first selection of an expanded command menu and a second selection of a pin control on the expanded command menu.
A computer program product comprising a memory device having computer executable instructions stored thereon, which when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- displaying two or more video streams that include at least one video stream internal to an operating room on a panel of a display and at least one video stream external to the operating room on the panel of the display;
- detecting a selection of one of the two or more video streams as a selected video stream;
- moving a current video stream displayed in a main portion of the display to the panel based on detecting the selection and retaining a surgeon video stream position pinned at a same location on the panel before and after moving the current video stream from the main portion of the display to the panel;
- and
- moving the selected video stream from the panel to the main portion of the display based on detecting the selection.
A system comprising:
- an operating room display;
- a memory system;
- and
- a processing system coupled to the memory system and the operating room display, the processing system configured to execute a plurality of instructions to:
- display a first set of one or more video streams that are internal to an operating room on a first panel of the operating room display;
- display a second set of one or more video streams that are external to the operating room on a second panel of the operating room display;
- detect a selection of one of the one or more video streams of the first set or the second set as a selected video stream;
- and
- moving the selected video stream to the main portion of the operating room display based on detecting the selection.
