Abstract
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and a computer system are provided. The computer system includes one or more computing devices. The one or more computing devices collect utilization data from a plurality of devices in a data center. The utilization data includes power consumption metrics and device usage statistics. The one or more computing devices analyze the collected utilization data to identify underutilized devices. The one or more computing devices generate power optimization actions for the identified underutilized devices. The one or more computing devices implement the power optimization actions to reduce power consumption of the underutilized devices.
Claims20
A method, implemented by one or more computing devices, comprising:
- collecting utilization data from a plurality of devices in a data center, the utilization data including power consumption metrics and device usage statistics;
- analyzing the collected utilization data to identify underutilized devices;
- generating power optimization actions for the identified underutilized devices;
- and
- implementing the power optimization actions to reduce power consumption of the underutilized devices.
A system, including one or more computing devices, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
- collect utilization data from a plurality of devices in a data center, the utilization data including power consumption metrics and device usage statistics;
- analyze the collected utilization data to identify underutilized devices;
- generate power optimization actions for the identified underutilized devices;
- and
- implement the power optimization actions to reduce power consumption of the underutilized devices.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer executable code for operating one or more computing devices, comprising code to:
- collect utilization data from a plurality of devices in a data center, the utilization data including power consumption metrics and device usage statistics;
- analyze the collected utilization data to identify underutilized devices;
- generate power optimization actions for the identified underutilized devices;
- and
- implement the power optimization actions to reduce power consumption of the underutilized devices.
