Aspects of the present disclosure include computer-implemented systems and methods for generating slab designs for additive manufacturing. In examples, a processor receives design input parameters including span dimensions in two different directions, slab depth, and support locations, and generates a structural frame model defining force flow paths in both directions. Based on the force flow paths, the processor determines placement locations for internal cable conduits configured to enable post-tensioning in multiple directions. A volumetric modeling technique is applied to integrate a periodic anticlastic surface geometry, including a triply periodic minimal surface, with the structural frame model. A three-dimensional mesh model of a two-way floor slab incorporating the anticlastic surface geometry and internal cable conduits is generated, and fabrication data is output to enable additive manufacturing of the slab.
