Abstract

A method involves receiving initial user input data at an Agentic Configuration Assistance module (ACAM) of a mobile device management platform via a user interface, generating clarified user input data; generating a Configuration Requirement Metric, determining whether structured configuration data associated with a first configuration is to be used in responding to the clarified user input data, when used, retrieving the structured configuration data and generating combined configuration user input data based on the clarified user input data and information derived from the structured configuration data, and otherwise generating the combined configuration user input data without using the structured configuration data, generating and providing configuration assistance data via the user interface, receiving configuration input specifying a second configuration derived from one or more configuration changes indicated by the configuration assistance data, and updating the first configuration based on the second configuration.

Dependent claims

A method, comprising:

receiving, by one or more processors of a mobile device management platform, initial user input data at an Agentic Configuration Assistance module (ACAM) associated with the mobile device management platform via a user interface;
generating, by the one or more processors, clarified user input data based on the initial user input data;
generating, by the one or more processors, a Configuration Requirement Metric based on the clarified user input data;
determining, by the one or more processors based on the Configuration Requirement Metric, whether structured configuration data associated with a first configuration of the mobile device management platform is to be used in responding to the clarified user input data;
in response to determining that the structured configuration data is to be used, retrieving, by the one or more processors, the structured configuration data associated with the first configuration from the mobile device management platform, and generating combined configuration user input data based on the clarified user input data and information derived from the structured configuration data;
in response to determining that the structured configuration data is not to be used, generating, by the one or more processors, the combined configuration user input data based on the clarified user input data without using the structured configuration data;
generating, by the one or more processors, configuration assistance data based on the combined configuration user input data;
providing, by the one or more processors, the configuration assistance data via the user interface;
receiving, by the one or more processors, a configuration input via the user interface, the configuration input specifying a second configuration of the mobile device management platform and derived at least in part from one or more configuration changes indicated by the configuration assistance data;
and
updating, by the one or more processors, the first configuration of the mobile device management platform based on the second configuration.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for executing a computer-implemented method, the computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, by one or more processors of a mobile device management platform, initial user input data at an Agentic Configuration Assistance module (ACAM) associated with the mobile device management platform via a user interface;
generating, by the one or more processors, clarified user input data based on the initial user input data;
generating, by the one or more processors, a Configuration Requirement Metric based on the clarified user input data;
determining, by the one or more processors based on the Configuration Requirement Metric, whether structured configuration data associated with a first configuration of the mobile device management platform is to be used in responding to the clarified user input data;
in response to determining that the structured configuration data is to be used, retrieving, by the one or more processors, the structured configuration data associated with the first configuration from the mobile device management platform, and generating combined configuration user input data based on the clarified user input data and information derived from the structured configuration data;
in response to determining that the structured configuration data is not to be used, generating, by the one or more processors, the combined configuration user input data based on the clarified user input data without using the structured configuration data;
generating, by the one or more processors, configuration assistance data based on the combined configuration user input data;
providing, by the one or more processors, the configuration assistance data via the user interface;
receiving, by the one or more processors, a configuration input via the user interface, the configuration input specifying a second configuration of the mobile device management platform and derived at least in part from one or more configuration changes indicated by the configuration assistance data;
and
updating, by the one or more processors, the first configuration of the mobile device management platform based on the second configuration.
