An optical device includes a movable member, movable in a direction including a component perpendicular to an optical axis, that supports an optical element; a fixed member that supports the movable member; first and second driving units that move the movable member in directions different from each other; and a flexible substrate connected to the first and second driving units. The flexible substrate includes first and second curved parts connecting the movable member and the fixed member. When viewed from an optical axis direction, the first and second curved parts are arranged inside a circle centered on the optical axis and circumscribing the first and second driving units, and a midpoint between points of action of first and second reaction forces generated at the first and second curved parts, respectively, is located inside a triangle connecting the optical axis and centers of the first and second driving units.
