A method includes, receiving, at each of a first antenna and a second antenna of a mobile object, satellite navigation signals from a plurality of satellites including a respective channel signal for each respective channel of the satellite navigation signals received from a respective satellite of the plurality of satellites. The method includes calculating a baseline vector between the first antenna and the second antenna using a cost function applied to a plurality of candidate integer ambiguity sets, wherein each respective candidate integer ambiguity set of the plurality of candidate integer ambiguity sets includes a respective candidate integer solution for each respective channel signal, and initializing an inertial navigation system using the baseline vector between the first antenna and the second antenna. The method includes performing a navigation function for the mobile object using the initialized inertial navigation system.
A method for navigating a mobile object according to signals from satellites, the method comprising:
The method of claim, wherein initializing the inertial navigation system comprises determining an attitude of the mobile object.
The method of claim, wherein initializing the inertial navigation system comprises determining an initial moving object heading based on first antenna mounting dimensions and second antenna mounting dimensions.
The method of claim, wherein initializing the inertial navigation system comprises determining a misalignment between the mobile object and inertial navigation system sensors mounted on the mobile object.
The method of claim, including performing a misalignment calibration function to obtain the misalignment between the mobile object and the inertial navigation system.
The method of claim, wherein performing the navigation function for the mobile object includes performing dead-reckoning using inertial navigation system measurements received from inertial navigation system sensors mounted on the mobile object and the obtained misalignment value between the mobile object and the inertial navigation system.
The method of claim, wherein the mobile object is stationary and positioned on a substrate while the inertial navigation system is initializing, and wherein initializing the inertial navigation system comprises determining a levelness of the substrate.
The method of claim, wherein performing the navigation function for the mobile object includes providing inertial navigation system data to a Kalman filter that fuses inertial navigation system data with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data.
A device for navigating a mobile object according to signals from satellites, comprising:
A navigation system for navigating a mobile object according to signals from satellites, comprising:
