Abstract
A test system comprising a testing apparatus (and method for operation thereof) for testing at least at one relay (such as an earth leakage relay 23) of an electric circuit of a switchboard (11) connected to a mains power supply through a circuit breaker (36) for selectively delivery of a first electric current being the electric current product of the mains power supply to an end user power supply (32). The apparatus to be described hereinafter comprises a testing device being adapted to be operatively connected to the relay for tripping of the relay via a second current, wherein the second current is generated by a power supply other than the mains power supply.
Claims32
A testing apparatus for testing at least one relay of an electric circuit of a switchboard connected to a medium to high voltage mains power supply through a multi-phase circuit breaker for selective delivery of a first electric current to an end user power supply, the apparatus comprising a testing device being adapted to be operatively connected to the relay for tripping of the relay via a second current, wherein the second current is generated by a power supply other than the mains power supply.
A testing apparatus for testing at least one relay of an electric circuit of a switchboard connected to a medium to high voltage mains power supply through a multi-phase circuit breaker for selective delivery of a first electric current to an end user power supply, the apparatus comprising a testing device being adapted to be operatively connected to the relay for tripping of the relay via a low voltage second current, wherein the second current is generated by a power supply other than the mains power supply.
