Abstract
A tire failure determination method according to the present disclosure is a tire failure determination method to be executed by a computer and includes acquiring a thermal image obtained by imaging a tire with a thermographic camera, acquiring an inner cavity temperature of the tire, and estimating a depth of a damaged portion of the tire based on a surface temperature of the damaged portion in the thermal image and the inner cavity temperature at a time when the thermal image was captured.

A tire failure determination method to be executed by a computer, the tire failure determination method comprising:
- acquiring a thermal image obtained by imaging a tire with a thermographic camera;
- acquiring an inner cavity temperature of the tire;
- and
- estimating a depth of a damaged portion of the tire based on a surface temperature of the damaged portion in the thermal image and the inner cavity temperature at a time when the thermal image was captured.
A tire failure determination apparatus comprising:
- a controller configured to
- acquire a thermal image obtained by imaging a tire with a thermographic camera;
- acquire an inner cavity temperature of the tire;
- and
- estimate a depth of a damaged portion of the tire based on a surface temperature of the damaged portion in the thermal image and the inner cavity temperature at a time when the thermal image was captured.
