Abstract

A temperature sensor comprises a sensor element including a pair of leads connected to a thermosensitive element, a protective case accommodating the sensor element, a filler filling an area between the protective case and the sensor element inside the protective case, an electric wire electrically connected to the pair of leads and extending out of the protective case, a sealing material composed of an electrical insulator and covering an area from the thermosensitive element to predetermined positions of the pair of leads, and a dip resin composed of an electrical insulator and covering an area from the sealing material to predetermined positions of the pair of leads and the electric wire. Linear expansion coefficients of the sealing material, the dip resin, the thermosensitive element, and the pair of leads are set so that at least an area between the dip resin and the pair of leads does not separate during a temperature cycle between liquid nitrogen and boiling water.
