Abstract

A weighing apparatus includes a weighing pan, a weight sensor connected to the weighing pan, a triaxial accelerometer configured to detect acceleration changes in three x-, y-, and z-axis directions by setting x and y on a plane parallel to the horizontality of the weight sensor, and z in a direction perpendicular to the horizontality of the weight sensor, a storage unit configured to store reference outputs of the three axes of the triaxial accelerometer when the weight sensor is horizontal, and an arithmetic processing unit, wherein the arithmetic processing unit compares current outputs of the three axes of the triaxial accelerometer with the reference outputs, and detects a tilt when an output of x and/or y changes, and detects a change of an installation location when an output of z changes, and notifies a user of these.
