Abstract
Methods and systems for the production, storage, transport, and utilization of pressurized liquefied natural gas (PLNG) at pressures of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g across mobile and stationary applications. Methods and systems for dynamically managing pressures within a PLNG supply chain to maintain pressures of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g across the PLNG supply chain.
Claims28
A pressurized liquefied natural gas (PLNG) system for producing, storing, transporting, and utilizing PLNG for mobile applications, comprising:
- a production system configured to receive natural gas and produce PLNG at a pressure within a range of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g;
- and
- a mobile fuel system configured to receive the PLNG from the production system and maintain the PLNG at the pressure within the range of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g.
A pressurized liquefied natural gas (PLNG) system for producing, storing, land-vehicle transporting, and utilizing PLNG for stationary applications, comprising:
- a production system configured to receive natural gas and produce PLNG at a pressure within a range of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g;
- and
- a stationary system configured to receive the PLNG from the production system and maintain the PLNG at the pressure within the range of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g.
A method of dynamically managing pressures within a pressurized liquefied natural gas (PLNG) supply chain, comprising:
- monitoring one or more operational conditions of a pressurized tank containing PLNG at a pressure within a range of 6 bar-g to 20 bar-g via one or more sensors;
- receiving a signal corresponding to the one or more operational conditions from the one or more sensors;
- and
- adjusting pressure within the pressurized tank based on the one or more operational conditions.
