Abstract
A refrigerator includes an ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water, a blade configured to contact ice formed on the circumferential portion and separate the ice from the circumferential portion, and an ice-compression assembly configured to compress ice having a first size scraped from the circumferential portion by the blade and form the ice into a second size larger than the first size.

A refrigerator comprising:
- a cabinet that defines a storage space;
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the cabinet;
- an ice-making body rotatably provided at the cabinet or the door, the ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water and to generate ice;
- an ice-making bracket configured to accommodate the ice-making body, the ice-making bracket defining a flow path of cooled air for cooling the ice-making body;
- a blade configured to contact the ice on the circumferential portion of the ice-making body and to separate the ice from the circumferential portion of the ice-making body;
- and
- an ice-compression assembly configured (i) to compress first size ice that has a first size and is separated from the circumferential portion of the ice-making body by the blade and (ii) to generate second size ice having a second size from the first size ice, the second size being larger than the first size.
