A hot water supply system includes a plurality of hot water storage type water heaters connected in parallel. The water heaters respectively include hot water storage tanks that store heated hot water, heat exchangers, circulation pumps for causing the hot water in the hot water storage tanks to flow into the heat exchangers, hot water supply circuits that causes the hot water to flow out from the heater exchangers to hot water supply destinations, and control units. Merged flow rate detection means is provided on a merged hot water supply circuit obtained by merging the hot water supply circuits of the plurality of hot water storage type water heaters. When a minimum detection flow rate that is a lower limit value detectable by the merged flow rate detection means is detected, the control units drive the circulation pumps of the water heaters.
