Described herein is an air conditioning system with improved supply airflow. Specifically, the air conditioning systems include multiple openings at the supply side such that additional airflow may be directed into the supply duct at any given time. For example, the air conditioning systems may be single-package air conditioning systems conventionally used in commercial environments, however, these improvements may also be applicable to other types of air conditioning systems as well. The same improvements may be provided regardless of whether the air conditioning systems are “down flow” configurations or “side flow” configurations. To provide yet further efficiency improvements, the blower of the air conditioning system may be provided within an enclosure that is connected to an adapter box that guides the air into the supply duct and also increases the distance between the blower and indoor heat exchanger coil.
