Housing for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system

A housing configured to enclose one or more components of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, comprising:

• a first partition panel comprising a first partition panel body;
• a second partition panel comprising a second partition body;
• and
• an air leakage pathway formed at an interface between the first partition panel and the second partition panel, wherein the leakage pathway is defined on a first side by the first partition panel and on a second side by the second partition panel, and wherein the leakage pathway is shaped to direct leaking air in at least two opposing directions, wherein the first partition panel comprises a first return flange, wherein the first return flange comprises at least a first bend section and a second bend section, wherein the first bend section is bent substantially 90° with respect to the first partition panel and the second bend section is bent substantially 180° with respect to the first bend section, wherein the first return flange comprises at least a third bend section, wherein the third bend section extends substantially parallel to the first partition panel body, wherein the second partition panel comprises a single-bend return flange on the interface.
