Vent systems including unitary longitudinally extending blades, and related endcaps

A longitudinally extending blade assembly for a vent system, the longitudinally extending blade assembly comprising:

• a first end;
• a second end longitudinally opposite the first end;
• a top;
• a bottom;
• a blade body extending between the first end and the second end, the blade body having an arcuate shape between the top and the bottom, a portion of the blade body proximate the bottom extending continuously between the first end and the second end;
• a first tubular portion and a second tubular portion extending longitudinally along the top, the first tubular portion and second tubular portion being separated by a first space, the first tubular portion and second tubular portion being axially aligned and defining an axis of rotation for the blade;
• and
• ridges extending inwardly from opposed walls of the first tubular portion and the second tubular portion and defining a cylindrical passage in the first tubular portion and the second tubular portion, the cylindrical passage configured to receive a horizontal support element extending longitudinally along a length of the blade.

A vent system having a frame and one or more blades movable between an open position and a closed position, the vent system comprising:

• an endcap, comprising:
• an exterior portion, the exterior portion being substantially planar and configured to seal against the frame in the closed position;
• an interior portion, the interior portion comprising a blade support configured to support an end portion of a blade of the one or more blades, the blade support having an arcuate surface corresponding to an arcuate surface of the blade of the one or more blades;
• and
• a frame engaging member configured to rotatably connect the endcap to the frame, the endcap being rotatable around the frame engaging member.
