Hydraulic System

Abstract

A controller configured to control hydraulic system for a work tool is provided. The controller is configured to cause an actuator of the hydraulic system to move from a first position to a second position in which the controller causes a first directional control valve and a second directional control valve of the hydraulic system to open such that hydraulic fluid is pumped from a hydraulic fluid pump to the actuator to cause the actuator to move to the second position, and the controller causes a relief valve of the hydraulic system to be closed such that hydraulic fluid does not flow through the relief valve. The controller is also configured to cause the actuator to move from the second position to the first position in which the controller causes the first and second directional control valves to open such that hydraulic fluid is pumped from the hydraulic fluid pump to the actuator to cause the actuator to move to the first position, and the controller causes the relief valve to open to allow hydraulic fluid to return from the actuator to a hydraulic fluid reservoir.
