A turbine for use in a power system includes a first impeller having a first impeller configuration. The turbine is operated at a location of the power system to drive a generator to generate electricity. The turbine is configured such that the first impeller may be removed from the turbine and replaced by a second impeller while the turbine remains in situ at the location where the turbine had been operated. The second impeller has a second impeller configuration different from the first impeller configuration. The changing of the first impeller to the second impeller may be in response to thermal decline of a geothermal resource, ambient temperature variations, or a change in the fluid used to operate the turbine.
