Ceramic matrix composite seal repair

A method of repairing a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) seal of a gas turbine engine, the method comprising:

• providing a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) seal that includes a radially inwardly-facing side and a radially outwardly-facing side, the radially outwardly-facing side has first and second spaced-apart seal flanges that comprise two independent sets of support flange pin holes, each of the two independent sets of support flange pin holes include a first pair of aligned pin holes and a second pair of aligned pin holes that are circumferentially spaced from the first pair of aligned pin holes, wherein the CMC seal is affixable to a seal support by alignment of either one of the two independent sets of support flange pin holes with at least one set of seal support pin holes on the seal support and receipt of support pins there through;
• and
• in response to the first set of support flange pin holes becoming unserviceable for affixing the CMC seal to a seal support, affixing the CMC seal to the seal support using the second set of support flange pin holes.
