Self-correcting flow in subsurface wells

A system comprising:

• a first well of a reservoir;
• a second well of the reservoir;
• and
• a fracture zone of the reservoir, wherein permeability of the fracture zone is redistributed by performing operations comprising:
• circulating a fluid comprising a permeability-enhancing material between a first well and a second well of the reservoir through a plurality of fracture pathways, the permeability-enhancing material reacting with at least one of a proppant material or a fracture wall material above a threshold temperature;
• reacting, in a first circulation of the fluid, the permeability-enhancing material in a first fracture pathway of the plurality of fracture pathways based on a first temperature of the first fracture pathway being higher than the threshold temperature, the permeability-enhancing material increasing a first permeability of the first fracture pathway;
• and
• reacting, in a second circulation of the fluid, the permeability-enhancing material in a second fracture pathway of the plurality of fracture pathways based on a self-correcting feedback from the first circulation causing a second temperature of the second fracture pathway to exceed the threshold temperature, the permeability-enhancing material increasing a second permeability of the second fracture pathway.

A method of redistributing permeability in a reservoir, the method comprising:

• circulating a fluid comprising a permeability-enhancing material and a permeability-reducing material between a first well and a second well of the reservoir through a plurality of fracture pathways, the permeability-enhancing material reacting with at least one of a proppant material or a fracture wall material above a threshold temperature, the permeability-reducing material reacting with at least one of the proppant material or the fracture wall material;
• reacting, in a first circulation of the fluid, the permeability-enhancing material and the permeability-reducing material in a first fracture pathway of the plurality of fracture pathways based on a first temperature of the first fracture pathway being higher than the threshold temperature, the permeability-enhancing material and the permeability-reducing material producing a first net increase to a first permeability of the first fracture pathway;
• and
• reacting, in a second circulation of the fluid, the permeability-enhancing material and the permeability-reducing material in a second fracture pathway of the plurality of fracture pathways based on a self-correcting feedback from the first circulation causing a second temperature of the second fracture pathway to exceed the threshold temperature, the permeability-enhancing material and the permeability-reducing material producing a second net increase to a second permeability of the second fracture pathway.
