Abstract
A guiding assembly for a rock work unit includes a guide structure arranged for guiding the movement of a drill rod and an actuator coupled to the guide structure. The actuator includes a base portion, a first portion slidably coupled to the base portion and operable to move or to be driven to move linearly relative to the base portion along a longitudinal axis x, and a second portion slidable coupled to the base portion and movable along the longitudinal axis and coupled to the first portion via a spring.
Claims20
A guiding assembly for a rock work unit such as a rock drill unit, the guiding assembly comprising:
- a guide means comprising a receiver arranged for receiving an elongate consumable extending in a drilling axis, the receiver comprising a through recess having a lateral opening which allows the consumable to move into and out of the through recess in a transverse direction, the receiver being arranged to form a substantially closed recess that is configured to hold the consumable and allow the consumable to move along the drilling axis and prevent the consumable from escaping in the transverse direction;
- and
- an actuator coupled to the guide means, the actuator including a base portion, a first portion slidably coupled to the base portion and being operable to move or to be driven to move linearly relative to the base portion along a longitudinal axis, and a second portion slidable coupled to the base portion and movable along the longitudinal axis, and coupled to the first portion via a force means.
