Abstract
A method for operating an electromotive door adjuster of a motor vehicle, the door adjuster comprising an electric motor and a door driven by the electric motor. During adjustment of the door by means of the electric motor, an acceleration of the door is determined and compared with a limit value. A panic intervention is identified if the acceleration is greater than the limit value. Also disclosed is an electromotive door adjuster.

A method for operating an electromotive door adjuster of a motor vehicle, which comprises an electric motor and a door driven thereby, in which:
- during an adjustment of the door by means of the electric motor, an acceleration of the door is determined and compared with a limit value, and
- a panic intervention is identified if the acceleration is greater than the limit value.
