Abstract
A door latch device includes a fence block, a fork rotatable between a latch position where a striker is held and an open position where holding of the striker is released, a claw rotatable between a locking position where the fork at the latch position is locked and an unlocking position where the fork is unlocked, a stopper restricting rotation of the claw beyond the locking position, and a caulking shaft (receiving portion) provided at an interval α on a side opposite to the fork in a direction in which the insertion groove extends with respect to the claw at the locking position.

A door latch device comprising:
- a base member having an insertion groove through which a striker is insertable;
- a fork that is disposed on the base member and is rotatable between a latch position at which the striker is held and an open position at which holding of the striker is released;
- a claw that is disposed on the base member, is rotatable between a locking position at which the fork at the latch position is locked and an unlocking position at which the fork is unlocked, and is biased from the unlocking position toward the locking position;
- a restricting portion that restricts rotation of the claw beyond the locking position;
- and
- a receiving portion provided at an interval on a side opposite to the fork in a direction in which the insertion groove extends with respect to the claw at the locking position.
