Abstract
A safety system for arresting falling objects about a monopole is provided, the monopole being fixed to a surface. The system comprises a structure having a mesh and an adjustable supporting body arrangeable about a periphery of the mesh, and a mounting arrangement configured to mount the structure about the monopole and above the surface.

A safety system for arresting falling objects about a monopole, the monopole being fixed to a surface, the system comprising:
- a structure having a mesh and an adjustable supporting body arrangeable about a periphery of the mesh;
- and
- a mounting arrangement configured to mount the structure about the monopole and above the surface.

A method of installing a safety system to a monopole for arresting falling objects about the monopole, the monopole being fixed to a surface, the method comprising:
- positioning a structure of the safety system about the monopole, the structure having a mesh and an adjustable supporting body arranged about a periphery of the mesh;
- and
- mounting the structure about the monopole and above the surface using a mounting arrangement of the safety system.
