Abstract
The present invention relates to a clip adapted for use with a tile insert positioned within a drainage channel. The clip includes a tile insert engagement portion located at a first end thereof, and a compressible portion distally located at a second end thereof. The tile insert engagement portion includes a pocket adapted to receive and secure a portion of the tile insert therewithin, and the compressible portion presses and urges against an interior sidewall surface of the drainage channel when the tile insert is positioned therewithin, thus minimising lateral movement of the tile insert when positioned within the drainage channel.
Claims13
A clip adapted for use with a tile insert positioned within a drainage channel, the clip having a tile insert engagement portion located at a first end thereof, and a compressible portion distally located at a second end thereof, the tile insert engagement portion includes a pocket adapted to receive and secure a portion of the tile insert therewithin, and the compressible portion presses and urges against an interior sidewall surface of the drainage channel when the tile insert is positioned therewithin, thereby minimising lateral movement of the tile insert when positioned within the drainage channel.
A clip configured for use with a tile insert receivable within a drainage channel, the clip comprising:
- (a) an engagement portion including a pocket configured to receive and retain a portion of the tile insert;
- and
- (b) a resilient compressible portion extending from the engagement portion and configured to contact and exert a lateral biasing force against an interior sidewall of the drainage channel when the tile insert is positioned within the drainage channel,
- wherein the lateral biasing force reduces lateral movement of the tile insert within the drainage channel.
A method of stabilising a tile insert within a drainage channel comprising:
- (a) attaching a resilient clip to a portion of the tile insert;
- and
- (b) inserting the tile insert into the drainage channel such that a compressible portion of the clip deforms against an interior sidewall of the drainage channel and exerts a lateral biasing force thereupon.
