Abstract
The present invention relates to reverse transcriptase enzymes comprising a modified Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase amino acid sequence, wherein said amino acid sequence comprises a mutation compared to the wild-type Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase, and said enzyme possesses increased inhibitor resistance compared to the wild-type Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase. The present invention also relates to compositions, reaction mixtures, and kits comprising the said reverse transcriptase enzymes are used to synthesize cDNA from RNA.
Claims27
A reverse transcriptase enzyme comprising a modified Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase amino acid sequence, wherein said amino acid sequence comprises a mutation at position K267, and/or I416, and/or N674, and/or T186 compared to the wild-type Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein said enzyme possesses increased inhibitor resistance compared to said wild-type Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus reverse transcriptase.
