Stacked bioreactor for cellular therapeutics

Abstract

A bioreactor assembly, comprises a plurality of bioreactor units arranged in a flow sequence, and at least one flow path extending through the bioreactor units. The plurality of bioreactor units may be stacked on top of each other. Each of the plurality of bioreactor units may be configured for expanding a population of biological cells. The flow path(s) selectively extends through the plurality of bioreactor units, such that selected ones of the plurality of bioreactor units may be added to the flow path(s), and selected ones of the plurality of bioreactor units may be removed from the flow path(s).
