Abstract
A method for converting a solid or liquid substrate selected among substrates formed of plastics material and heavy oils, into hydrocarbon(s) by a conversion reaction of hydrogenolysis and/or pyrolysis, occurring in a given temperature range. This method comprises contacting, in a reactor, the substrate and a microscale heating element formed of a ferromagnetic metal compound, under an oxygen-free atmosphere, and heating this heating element, at a temperature within said temperature range, by electromagnetic induction via a magnetic field inductor external to the reactor.
Claims16
A method for transforming a solid or liquid substrate selected in the group consisting of the substrates formed of plastic material(s) and the heavy oils, into hydrocarbon(s) by a transformation reaction occurring in a given temperature range,
- said method comprising steps of:
- in a reactor, contacting said substrate and a heating element formed of a ferromagnetic metal compound, under an atmosphere devoid of oxygen,
- and heating said heating element by electromagnetic induction via a magnetic field inductor external to said reactor, at a temperature in said temperature range,
- said heating element being a micrometric heating element in the form of entity(ies) all the dimensions of which are greater than or equal to 1 μm and at least one dimension of which is between 1 and 1000 μm.
