Abstract
The present invention relates to a foamable polyurethane composition comprising a fatty amide having at least two carbon atoms, in particular a foamable polyurethane composition comprising a fatty amide having at least two carbon atoms, which is able to foam under room temperature, to a foam obtained by curing the foamable polyurethane composition, and to a method of bonding substrates by using the foamable polyurethane composition.
Claims15
A foamable polyurethane composition, comprising:
- at least one polymeric polyol having an average hydroxyl functionality from at least 1.8,
- at least one polyisocyanate having on average at least two isocyanate groups per molecule,
- at least one fatty amide having at least two carbon atoms, and
- at least one basic catalyst,
- wherein the polymeric polyol and the fatty amide initiate a foaming reaction in the presence of the basic catalyst.
