Abstract
Provided are methods for neoadjuvant treatment of colorectal cancer using a combination of a human CTLA-4 inhibitor and a human PD-1 inhibitor. These methods are particularly advantageous in that they can effectively treat non-MSI-H/dMMR colorectal cancers.
Claims36
A method of treating a colorectal tumor in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject:
- a) a dose of a first antibody that specifically binds to human CTLA-4, wherein the first antibody comprises a human IgG heavy chain constant region that is a variant of a wild type human IgG heavy chain constant region, wherein the variant human IgG heavy chain constant region binds to FcγRIIIA with a higher affinity as compared to the affinity that the wild type human IgG heavy chain constant region binds to FcγRIIIA;
- and
- b) a first dose of a human PD-1 inhibitor,
- wherein the dose of the first antibody and the first dose of the human PD-1 inhibitor are each administered to the subject prior to surgical removal of the tumor.
