Abstract
Provided is a recombinant fusion protein which contains an extracellular domain of human activin receptor type 2A fused, optionally with a linker, to an immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region, wherein the extracellular domain of the human ACVR2A comprises an Asn (N)-to-Ala (A) mutation at a site corresponding to position 24 of the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1 to remove a glycosylation site.

A recombinant fusion protein, comprising:
- i) an extracellular domain of a human activin receptor type 2A (ACVR2A), and
- ii) an immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region,
- wherein the extracellular domain of the human ACVR2A is linked to the immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region,
- wherein the extracellular domain of the human ACVR2A comprises an Asn (N)-to-Ala (A) mutation at a site corresponding to position 24 of SEQ ID NO:
- 1,
- wherein the recombinant fusion protein is able to bind activins and/or growth differentiation factors.
