Targeted engineered interferon and uses thereof

A chimeric protein comprising:

• (a) a variant consensus interferon comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
• 2 and having one or more mutations at an amino acid position selected from 146 and 150 with reference to SEQ ID NO:
• 2;
• and
• (b) one or more targeting moieties, said targeting moieties comprising recognition domains comprising single-domain antibodies which specifically bind to target antigens or receptors;
• and
• wherein the variant consensus interferon and the one or more targeting moieties are optionally connected with one or more linkers.
